'Talmud Tora' Jewish School of Craft

46/48 Pomorska St.
91-408 Łódź

The land for constructing the school was donated to the Jewish Charitable Association by the manufacturer Zygmun Jarociński. The design of the building was commissioned to the Lodz architect Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. The edifice was erected in 1900. It has a massive entrance gate bearing the date of the project completion. The façades of the 13-axial eclectic building feature huge windows that prove the modern character of the structure. The avant-corpses flanking the building are embellished with ornamental gables covered with tented roofs and a clock in the building axis.
